The Mediating Roles of Innovation Capability and Risk-Taking Behavior in the Southwest Region of Cameroon
Abstract
Abstract
This study examined the relationship between AI-augmented Human Resource practices and agripreneurial success, with particular focus on the mediating roles of innovation capability and risk-taking behavior among agribusiness enterprises in the Southwest Region of Cameroon. A mixed-methods research design was employed, combining quantitative survey data from 384 agribusiness owners and managers with qualitative interviews from 15 key informants. Data analysis utilized Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. The findings indicated that AI-augmented HR practices significantly and positively influence agripreneurial success, with innovation capability and risk-taking behavior serving as partial mediators in this relationship. The study contributed to the theoretical understanding of AI integration in agricultural human resource management and offered practical recommendations for agribusiness development in emerging economies.
